Swift, gray paws padded rapidly over the ground, as Torrentstar once again rejoined her Clan mates that had been left behind for the Gathering. The she-cat's tail swished in apprehension and deep thought, as she stopped in the middle of the clearing, and looked around anticipatingly.
She needed to talk to Tigerstripe, as soon as possible; if what the medicine cats had said was true, Torrentstar was sure that he was the one destined to protect StoneClan from this terrible threat. And she would need his help to warn the rest of the Clan besides, to be alert and on guard.
"Tigerstripe?" Torrentstar finally called, not catching sight of the tom in the returning mass of cats. Despite the earlier mistake with the two apprentices, she still held great respect for the warrior, and knew that he would be loyal and protect his Clan from the wolves in whatever way he could.

Tigerstripe had been talking to one of the elders when he heard Torrentstar's call. He nodded goodbye to the elder and padded up to her. "I'm guessing this is about the prophecy?" he asked.

Torrentstar nodded slowly, her tail swishing from one side to the other as she thought over what she was going to say. Tigerstripe was perceptive, she could easily tell; he had noticed the same element of the prophecy that had caused her to wonder about his part in protecting the Clans.
"Yes, I wanted to speak with you about that," the leader admitted, looking the warrior straight in the eye. She wanted him to know that she was entrusting him with the future of her Clan by doing this, and it would by no means be a menial task. But she also wanted him to know, above all else, that she actually trusted him with that duty, his destiny given him by StarClan.
"We can't be sure when the wolves will strike," Torrentstar said, feeling a pang of anxiety at the thought, which she quickly pushed away. "We need to be prepared by the time they come; I am not sure what StarClan intended you and the other three chosen cats to do, but the fate of StoneClan is resting squarely in your paws. I'll do all I can to help you - just know that."

Tigerstripe saw the same meaningful look he once saw when his mother told him about his grandfather. "Can some of the warriors send a message for me?" he asked. "I thought all the chosen ones and teir Clan deputies could meet here, at dawn. We could discuss a plan of action then." he looked into Torrentstar's eyes, waiting for her approval.

Torrentstar listened to his suggestion, her eyes thoughtful as she slowly nodded her agreement. Surely it could only be a good thing for the chosen cats to meet? As the prophecy had stated, they were supposed to band together to face the threat of the wolf pack.
"A fair suggestion, Tigerstripe," she finally replied, already wondering who she should send on this important mission. Obviously, it would have to be at least one warrior; sending an apprentice into enemy Clan territory would be foolish, at best. "Perhaps you could speak with your Clan mates about this mission...? I'm sure that all of them would be willing, but with the wolf pack coming, we can't be too cautious."

Tigerstripe graciously dipped his head. He would have to hurry, if he were to meet the chosen cats at dawn, he would have to send warriors now. He slowed down to the middle of the group. "Coldheart, Doveheart, and Darkdream!" He nodded with his head to tell to follow.

Sunpaw padded up, eyes wide with fright. Her little body was shaking. "Wha- what's going to happen?" She mewed softly. "I don't know what to do..." She looked up at Tigerstripe. He had been nice to her before, taken her training once. She hoped he would be okay.

Tigerstripe looked down at her. "It's gonna be okay." he lifted his gaze to the rest of the Clan and raised his voice, "I'm going to request for the other chosen cats to talk strategy, and find the wolves tomorrow. We must see how close they've come." he looked back to Sunpaw, "Go on with the others now," he said.
